Happenings over the past week.......

Last Sunday was Andrew's first Sunday at Carolina. He did so good. We took him to our Sunday school class and then went to preaching. He just grunted a few times. When we got in the car to leave & Ben said he did so well, he didn't have to get a spanking. Yay! No spankings for Andrew just yet!

Getting ready to go!

Proud big brother!

Waiting for the BUS!
This was taken one day last week while Ty was watching for the bus. He can't wait to be able to ride the bus one day. We spend our mornings and afternoons watching for the bus. Yippeeeee!! What fun! I know he has his pj's on, but this was actually in the afternoon. Sometimes when he gets home from school, he strips down and puts his pj's back on. Go figure! This particular day, I noticed the house got really quiet. I peeked in the dining room where he was waiting, and found him curled up in the chair (with Molly). I guess he had had a really eventful day at school and could just not hold out any longer.

Last Sunday we attended a special retirement reception at PHS honoring a very special person to both Ben and me. Mr.Jim Garner was recognized for his many years of service as principal. Ben and I were very fortunate to be students under his leadership at PHS. After 5 years of being employed by Covington County Schools as an aide, Mr. Garner hired me as a 4th grade teacher. I was very fortunate to be able to work for such a man of high christian standards. We have also been under his teaching at church for about 6 years. He has touched many lives through his education experiences. PHS will never quite be the same without his presence.

Sweet Brothers - Ty loves his brother and he loves to hold and kiss him.

Saturday afternoon fun
My neighbor, Sharon, was pulling her daughter Ashley, along with Allie, Amy, cousin Emory, and Ty behind the golf cart in a plastic pool! Now, how much fun is that! Same idea as skiing or intertubing except on dry land. I don't think Ty's ever had so much fun with a pile of girls before.

What great happenings!! That Andrew is a Mancil made over. He's so beautiful!!!

The picture of Ty asleep in the chair is precious.

I got a picture of John Parker and Sawyer yesterday before our "back-2-church" moment. I asked John Parker to get beside Sawyer and he did it without any hesitation. I am going to put in on my blog ASAP. I was in total SHOCK. Next step.....JP holding Sawyer. :)

Also...It is sad to imagine Mr. Garner not being there at PHS. He was a fantastic leader!

Your boys are sooooo precious. It's interesting having a baby and an older child around. I could not imagine Mr. Garner not at PHS either. He has been there since I remember.

Hey Men, Thanks for the Carolina updates. I love this blog thing because I still get to find out what goes on there. Andrew looked so spiffy for his first morning to church. That picture of Ty sleeping deserves to be blown up and put in a frame. Those are certainly times to treasure.
