Lemonade & Fuzzy Caterpillars

The weather couldn't have been better this weekend!! And, we've spent as much time as we possibly could outside enjoying it!! From playing in the sandbox, to cleaning out the pool. Ty loves a good dig in the sand. I even got out there and enjoyed it with him. Those of you that know Ty, know how vivid an imagination he has. He has several imaginary friends that we always take along with us wherever we go. So, Ty, me, George, Uncle Dewey, Uncle Davey, Peyton, and Zazy had a blast in the sandbox Friday and Saturday. Ty spent hours making cakes and lemonade in the sand. He has a CountryTime lemonade container that he plays with in the sand, so we had lots of good 'ole lemonade. Ty and Ben also came upon lots of fuzzy caterpillars right near his sandbox. As you'll see in the pictures, he and the worms hit it off at first sight. Well, at least Ty loved them. I don't know if they really loved him or not. He had to bring his "sister" in to see me. Little did he know, he had already squeezed the little worm to death. When I threw him away, he said, "Mom, don't throw my sister away, he's my little sister!" Needless to say, he dug threw the garbage to get his "sister" out. Oh, the joys of having little boys!!! Here are some of the pictures of Ty doing what he does best.... just being a little boy....hope you like the pictures.

Ty with his new-found fuzzy friends.

Ben started working on cleaning out the pool and the flowerbeds around the pool. I love this time of year when we can get outside and get the yards and flowers looking good. Had to get one of Ben getting the pool chairs cleaned up.

The Carolina Go-Go's!!

Introducing the new Carolina Go-Go Girls.....What a fun night! Our ladies ministry team put together a great night of fun and fellowship. I think this was the most fun some of us have had in a while!! I think it's wonderful to be able to have fun and do it all in the name of our Lord and Saviour. Our 70's theme originated in trying to reach 70 ladies to come out and hear a word from guest speaker, Jennifer Dansby. It was just an all around great night!! Thanks to the ladies that went the extra mile to make this night a success. Have fun checking out the photos.

My mother is actually wearing the same jacket she wore as a freshman in high school!!! It has her initials embroidered on the shoulder. I think she looks pretty good myself!

Finally Back!

Well, it's been a while since my last post. I've had an interesting past couple of weeks to say the least. On the 16th, I woke up to excruciating neck and arm pain. After enduring as much pain as I possibly could, we ended up going to the ER where I had an MRI. The results showed I had a herniated disk in my neck. Dr. Metzger was ready to start cutting on me, however, not an option for me since I am pregnant. I got a shot which helped the pain tremendously and went back home where I stayed for 4 days except to go to physical therapy. I was able to go back to school on Thursday of last week. It was just good to get out of the house. Since then I have been to my last physical therapy appointment, where I learned the strength in my right hand is half of that of my left. That's the main concern right now. I go to Mobile next Wednesday for a 2nd opinion. I hope I can get some answers as to when I get my strength back and when this numbness will go away in my arm and thumb. Thanks for the prayers!! On top of that, baby is causing some sickness all during the day. Doesn't just happen in the morning, most of the time my sickness is at night. Last few days have been good though - no sickness!! Yea!!!!
Lots of stuff has happened over the last month, so I've got lots of pictures to post.

#2 is on the way!!

Well, for those of you who haven't heard yet.........I'm Pregnant!!!!! We went to the Dr. on Tuesday and had an ultrasound. Ty was so funny. When we showed him the baby he said, "I don't want a baby." Now, this little boy has been saying for months that he wanted a pink baby. Now that we are having one, he says he doesn't want one. After we talked to him about what all he would get to do with it, he was acting a little bit more excited. He wanted to know if the baby had on a blue shirt. Who knows?? Anyway, he was very excited to go to church last night and tell our exciting news. Baby is due in September. We got a looooooong way to go!! The Lord continues to bless our family!! He is so good to us!

I Want My "Buth'ay" Back!

For the last several weeks, Ty has been looking at his birthday party pictures from May. He makes sure he looks at everything, and I mean everything and everybody in the picture. He loves looking at the picture of his cake, and has even started talking about his cake for this year's birthday party. He has started saying, "I want my buth'ay back!" He is really starting to get upset about it. He just doesn't understand it will be here before we know it. Here are a few of his favorite pictures from his 2nd birthday party.

Where is Thumbkin?

I just had to share this video of Ty reading. Ty loves to read his books. If anyone reads to him and pauses, he finishes the words on the page word for word. It just blows my mind how children can remember. We're just hoping that memorization skill stays with him throughout his school years!! In the video, you'll hear him call someone Mr. Harold. He's referring to Mr. Harold Barrow that goes to our church. If there is ever a person or children on a page, he thinks we have to name them someone we know. So, that's why he's doing that. Although we haven't ever named this particular person Mr. Harold before, I guess when he looked at it this morning, Mr. Harold was the first person to enter his mind. Hope you enjoy as much as I did. (You'll need to go over to my playlist and turn the music off to hear the video.)
